Why heritage vehicles are the sustainable choice

The credible carbon logic is simple: a vehicle that’s already been manufactured and is then restored avoids the embodied carbon of building something new — and our fleet is reused across 1,000+ events rather than built for one campaign and binned.

To be clear about where this argument holds: we frame it as adaptive reuse avoids new-build embodied carbon, not as a blanket claim that vintage vehicles are greener than everything on the road. The vintage-vs-new debate is a genuinely contested one. For the short-mileage static and roving display use our fleet is built for, the embodied-carbon-avoidance case is the honest one — and it’s a strong one.

For daily high-mileage driving, the calculus is different. Activation use — short trips, static display, roving appearances — is the case where reuse clearly wins.

“The SS18 Launch was Amazing. The Deluxe Kombi ( The Duchess ) that Singapore had at Sentosa’s PR event and at MBS LV popup for 7 weeks, was the centrepiece – every guests stop for a photo, selfie, the Team was also professional and the setup was flawless.”

“Saw this really cute vintage-looking ice cream cart outside the Coach store during an event and got curious because the queue was really long for the giveaway. I asked the staff where the ice cream was from and they said Scoopy’s & Cream. Super cute setup and such a nice way to discover them!”

“Saw the Heritage Kombi by Supericecreamtruck at an event and thought it was really cool. I’ve always liked classic Mercedes vehicles, and this one definitely stood out. Great to see a piece of automotive history still turning heads.”

The FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes a brand activation "sustainable" or "eco-friendly"?

It minimises waste and embodied carbon across the whole event — reusable assets over single-use builds, measured emissions, and recognised standards like ISO 20121 rather than vague claims. Our heritage vehicles are reused across 1,000+ events instead of being built and scrapped. (What are sustainable events — IMEX

For short-mileage display and roving use, yes — the biggest carbon cost of any event vehicle is manufacturing it, and a restored classic’s manufacturing emissions are already “sunk.” Reusing one avoids the embodied carbon of building a new purpose-made rig. (For daily high-mileage driving the calculus differs; activation use is a genuinely favourable case.) (Footman James)

Usually not meaningfully — reusable assets often pay back within a few events versus single-use builds, and 77% of attendees say strong eco-credentials make an event more attractive. (Eventbrite study via Music Ally)

We follow recognised event-carbon methodology and document it through our carbon-accountability process. (Link to greenpassportcarbon.com.) (PCMA: measuring an event’s carbon footprint)

Our team is CES-certified (SACEOS/NTUC LearningHub). We are on track to confirm ISO 20121 and the Singapore MICE Sustainability Certification (MSC) in Q4 2026, and we align our work with GSTC criteria and Singapore Green Plan 2030. (SACEOS MSC; Singapore Green Plan 2030)

Named, third-party-audited standards (ISO 20121, MSC, B Corp, EcoVadis) are verifiable; self-declared internal “protocols” are not. We reference only auditable standards. (GSTC recognition of Singapore MSC)

Yes — 50+ MNCs and 1,000+ events since 2008, from creative to vehicle to custom build to the sustainability paper trail.
