A journey of passion, precision, and the art of restoring heritage vehicles. Discover how one man’s love for vintage vehicles evolved into Singapore’s largest heritage activation platform.
Super Ice Cream Truck is Singapore’s largest vintage vehicle fleet for brand activations and events, operated by Scoopy’s Gelateria Pte Ltd. Founded in 2008, it operates 9+ heritage vehicles including 10 VW Kombis, an Airstream, a Citroën H, a London taxi, Mercedes buses, and a Piaggio Ape van. It was founded by Tobias Peng, who has spent 15+ years building Singapore’s first carbon-accountable events operation — from a restored heritage fleet through to Green Passport, a carbon-measurement tool now in beta testing.

About Super Ice Cream Truck — Singapore's Heritage Vehicle Fleet
Founded in 2008, Super Ice Cream Truck began with a passion for restoring classic vehicles and preserving Singapore’s motoring heritage. Over the years, what started as a small collection has grown into Singapore’s largest heritage vehicle fleet for events, activations, and brand experiences.
Today, we help brands and event organisers create memorable experiences through beautifully restored vintage vehicles that blend nostalgia, craftsmanship, and creativity. Trusted by over 50 local and global brands, we continue to keep classic vehicles on the road while bringing people together through unique experiences.

A Rare Collectible
The Duchess
The Duchess is a rare 1956 Volkswagen Type 1 Transporter, Deluxe “23-Window” Samba — with sunroof, right-hand drive, double doors (both sides) and a rare walk-through cabin.
A collector-grade restoration that rivals the most celebrated custom builds — such as the restomodded 1965 VW 21-Window Bus by Kindig-It Design.
A rare 1956 survivor. One of a handful in the world. A museum-grade piece — the value is in the rarity and provenance; the heritage speaks for itself.

Founder
Tobias Peng
Founder · Scoopy’s & Cream
Tobias Peng founded Scoopy’s & Cream in 2008 with a single, quietly radical decision: he restored his first Volkswagen Kombi rather than buying something new. That instinct — that the most sustainable vehicle is the one that already exists — has grown into Singapore’s largest restored heritage fleet, and into something larger still.
For most of the last two decades, the carbon cost of a brand event in Singapore has been invisible. A pop-up goes up, a booth is built, a campaign runs for a weekend, and the whole thing is thrown away — with no one able to say what it cost the planet. Tobias has spent 15+ years proving there is a better way, and now a way to measure it. Every vehicle in his fleet is a restored, second-life classic that avoids the carbon of manufacturing something new — including a new electric one, once you count the battery — set against an industry that builds and discards a fresh installation for every job.
From this financial year, that invisible cost stops being optional to know. Singapore’s largest listed brands must now report the emissions of their suppliers — the activations they commission included — and almost no one in experiential marketing can hand them a number. That is the gap Tobias set out to close. The result is Green Passport, a carbon-measurement tool now in beta testing on live activations, built to turn what his fleet already does into a figure a corporate sustainability team can actually file.
He is not an offsets salesman, and he is careful to say so. His argument is simpler and harder to dispute: reduce first, then prove the reduction. Restore instead of rebuild. Reuse instead of replace. Measure what you saved, and let the number speak. It is a calm, factual case — closer to a nature documentary than a sales pitch — and it has quietly made him one of the people Singapore’s brands turn to when they need their sustainability story to be real rather than merely stated.
Before all of this, Tobias began his career in aviation. Today his work spans a restored heritage fleet, a sister compliance brand in Scoopy’s & Cream (undergoing ISO 20121 certification with TÜV SÜD and MICE Sustainability Certification through SACEOS), and a measurement tool in Green Passport — one connected mission to make sustainable events something you can see, touch, and prove.

When a Heritage Vehicle Becomes a Classroom
Sustainability is easiest to believe when you can stand next to it. In 2026, one of our heritage buses was transformed into a travelling e-waste exhibition — the “E-Bus” at the heart of JCI New Johor’s E-Waste to Wonder campaign, now in its fourth year. Inside, it displayed what students had made from discarded electronics, showing the public that old phones and cables need not become landfill.
Rather than build a booth and discard it, the campaign used a restored vehicle that already existed — the same reduce-and-reuse thinking that runs through our whole fleet. Founder Tobias Peng signed the partnership on behalf of Scoopy’s & Cream. The bus opened its tour at Sutera Mall, drawing more than 400 primary-school children into a hands-on environmental day, before continuing into schools across Johor.

Our Restoration Approach
More Than Vintage. Restored, Not Replaced.
We don’t believe in replacing; we believe in restoring. Every vehicle in our fleet is a restored, second-life classic. By restoring these icons rather than scrapping them, we avoid the carbon cost of building something new.
For us, heritage is not just about nostalgia—it’s about responsibility. Our fleet proves that luxury and sustainability can coexist, aligning perfectly with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030. And from this year, as Singapore’s largest brands begin reporting their suppliers’ emissions, we can do something rare in our industry — give them a real figure for the activation they commissioned, not just a good story.

“Saw this really cute vintage-looking ice cream cart outside the Coach store during an event and got curious because the queue was really long for the giveaway. I asked the staff where the ice cream was from and they said Scoopy’s & Cream. Super cute setup and such a nice way to discover them!”

“Saw the Heritage Kombi by Supericecreamtruck at an event and thought it was really cool. I’ve always liked classic Mercedes vehicles, and this one definitely stood out. Great to see a piece of automotive history still turning heads.”
